500 hours of massage training required from a state-approved school and a membership in a major professional association, such as AMTA. Further requirements: VD and TB tests. Must work for an establishment with an establishment license. Must provide separate facilities of showers and changing rooms for males and females. Board of Health, Building Inspector, and Fire Department representatives pay surprise periodic visits to the establishment. The total cost of licensing is $600 per year.)

Colorado Springs, CO

Massage training required. Business location required to be 1,000 yards from schools and bars (similar to municipality laws for pornographic book stores.)
